Tour Blog: Fort Wayne — Big Disappointment

I was bummed when we got into Fort Wayne yesterday morning and I saw this on the front page:

I don’t know what I thought. Okay, I do—I thought the media exposure would help. Why wouldn’t it? Instead, we’re not getting reviewed in the arts section; we’re making headlines for hijacking a signal when we had nothing to do with it except being there to play the show. Also, Margo may or may not have shot a man to death while I brutally beat another man. I will neither confirm nor deny this allegations. Instead, I will reiterate: we had nothing to do with the illegal, potential-act-of-war satellite hijacking that occurred on the night of April 19, 2008. Don’t believe me? Fuck off.

I’m getting tired of every effort I make—no matter how big or small—to get Abysmal back in the limelight causing some kind of international incident. I love this band. I want others to love it as well. Why do people care so little?
